YouTuber Schlep, recognized for his content that reveals pedophiles on Roblox, is now encountering legal repercussions. Roblox, a platform boasting 380 million monthly users, has prohibited Schlep and cautioned him against establishing new accounts. Schlep, who has been involved in the Roblox community for 14 years, has assisted in the apprehension of six pedophiles by masquerading as minors to gather evidence. Nevertheless, Roblox contends that his conduct breaches their guidelines by mimicking harmful discussions and disclosing personal information. Roblox underscores that such issues should be addressed by law enforcement, not vigilantes. Schlep, with 620,000 subscribers on YouTube, refutes any misconduct but acknowledges the ban. Roblox’s Chief Security Officer pointed out the dangers of vigilante behavior in a blog post, indicating that it can hinder proper enforcement and elevate user vulnerability to criminals. Despite the prohibition, Schlep remains dedicated to his cause but will not rejoin Roblox.
