There were already clues back in February, but the game was officially unveiled during the PC Gaming Show, complete with a trailer.
What is Neverwinter Nights 2 about?
It has been 19 long years since the classic debuted. The Baldur’s Gate series isn’t the sole outstanding role-playing game situated along the Sword Coast; a bit farther north, you can also find the two Neverwinter Nights titles.
In the sequel, your task is to stop the Lord of Shadows from enveloping Faerûn in darkness. Naturally, you won’t undertake this mission alone; you’ll encounter up to twelve allies in the game. What’s included in the Enhanced Edition?
The updated version of the role-playing game is reported to present several enhancements:
- All three expansions are part of the package: Mask of the Betrayer, Storm of Zehir, and Mysteries of Westgate.

refined game mechanics

You won’t have to wait much longer, on July 15, 2025 Dungeons & Dragons Neverwinter Nights 2: Enhanced Edition will launch for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Switch, and PC.
The development is being handled by Aspyr Media. The Enhanced Edition of the first game from 2018 was developed by Beamdog. Nevertheless, it logically follows that two different studios are managing the enhanced versions: after all, the original Neverwinter Nights was developed by BioWare, whereas the sequel was produced by Obsidian.
