The initial occasion I lost my entire group in Dungeon Settlers was due to a horde of rats. I believe we can all concur that being defeated by rats in anything even vaguely resembling a fantasy RPG is a significant blunder. It’s akin to misspelling your own name on your resume. It’s comparable to inadvertently donning your underwear over your pants. It’s reminiscent of not achieving the title of Thane of Whiterun.
To my credit, I was engaging with the game on Hard difficulty, and the vermin in Dungeon Settlers have an ungainly tendency to associate with stone golems. Ever attempted to take down a stone golem using a wooden sword? I found it quite troublesome. In any event, while the demise of my party was humiliating, it was also impressively macabre in the grand traditions of Dwarf Fortress.
