Speculation had indicated a possibility of it, but Xbox executive Matt Booty decided to break last Friday’s relaxed atmosphere by confirming that a delay to February 2027 has now been made official, pulling off the band-aid ahead of the upcoming Summer Geoff Fest. While this is likely a clever strategy by Playground Games, the delay of Fable from the autumn lineup is still disappointing if you’re, for instance, anticipating that this November’s most exciting new title isn’t arriving.
