Kojima Productions took to the Game Awards 2022 to officially announce the development of Death Stranding 2 (working title) 2. It is being developed for the PlayStation 5.

As with all of his past masterpieces, the latest title will be produced, written, directed and designed by Hideo Kojima himself. The cast announced so far includes Norman Reedus, Léa Seydoux, Elle Fanning, Shioli Kutsuna, and Troy Baker,” the announcement reads. 

A trailer released with the announcement shows what awaits in the sequel. We can see Fragile being chased by someone and later we also get a look at an older Sam Bridges, the protagonist of the original game. That’s about all the information we have right now regarding Death Stranging 2. We can expect to learn more in the coming months.

Back in August 2021, Norman Reedus, who portrays Sam Bridges, revealed that Death Stranding 2 was in development.

Death Stranding Director’s Cut

In September last year, Kojima Productions released Death Stranding Director’s Cut for PlayStation 5. It comes with new features and modes that enhance gameplay. The Director’s Cut also includes 2 picture mode options- Performance Mode 60 FPS at upscaled 4K resolution and Fidelity Mode which offers native 4K.

Hades II: Supergiant announces sequel to Hades during Game Awards 2022
