During my college years, a handful of my friends and I engaged in Yulgang Online, referred to as Scions of Fate. This MMORPG from the early 2000s, rooted in Korean culture and featuring a Chinese martial arts motif, was among the many free MMOs we experimented with. Although we never progressed past the “defeat X quantity of enemies to level up” grind, it was refreshing to traverse a wuxia-inspired universe, something that was quite uncommon in English-localised PC gaming at that time.
