We showcased exclusive gameplay footage from the Albion area for the first time on our FYNG stage, and simultaneously announced a free PC demo for Anno 117. And there’s no lengthy wait ahead!
Key details at a glance
- When will the demo launch? September 2
- How long will the demo be accessible? Until September 16
- What is the duration of the demo? 1 hour
- Where can I access the demo? On Steam and Ubisoft Connect
What to anticipate in the demo
If you attended gamescom and visited the Anno booth, you’re familiar with what’s in store. The content is predominantly the same as the demo presented in Cologne. The sole distinction is that you can play from the convenience of your home without any bothersome wait times.
You can engage for a complete hour, after which your current session will be automatically paused. Thus, the demo is time-restricted rather than milestone-based. If you perform exceptionally well and swiftly, you’ll witness much more of the new Anno compared to if you take your time. Naturally, it’s also possible that some content could still be entirely absent.
You can embark on a session in both Latium and Albion during the demo. Latium represents the Roman heartland, while Albion is the domain of the Celts. We clarified how Albion varies from Latium in a preview.
Even though your gameplay time is finite, you can restart as many times as you desire. Thus, you could play for an hour in Latium followed by an hour in Albion.
Although you can replay the demo continuously starting September 2, it will eventually conclude. The demo will vanish on September 16. After that, you’ll have to endure another two months before the full game is launched. Meanwhile, we’ll ensure that the Anno enthusiasts among you remain informed here.
