Battlefield 6 Leak: Cairo Map likened to a Studio Apartment

Numerous players have experienced the open beta of Battlefield 6, sparking intense discussions. A prominent criticism has been that the maps appeared to be surprisingly small for a Battlefield title.

However, a recent leak has provided reassurance, indicating that the final game will indeed showcase the expansive battles that have made the franchise renowned.

Dataminers disclose: The authentic battlefields are vast

Dataminers have uncovered two previously hidden maps from the files of the official community portal Battlefield Labs.
One of these, Mirak Valley, is even one of the largest maps set to be available at launch. This map is located in Tajikistan, surrounded by towering mountain ranges with a riverbed serving as a natural clearing – ideal conditions for tank formations and likely plenty of snipers, as already observed on Liberation Peak from the beta.

The second map, Eastwood, is scheduled for Season 1 post-launch and presents a completely different environment: an upscale neighborhood in California, featuring a golf course, a mansion, and dilapidated houses. Alongside traditional military vehicles, new options like a golf cart and a boat will also be included.

To visualize the scale, fans have overlayed the leaked renders on the beta map Siege of Cairo: Eastwood is more than twice the size, while Mirak Valley is over four times larger. This clearly shows that the beta did not remotely represent what to expect regarding size.

It remains uncertain whether DICE will release the larger maps in a beta before the official launch – such a move would be beneficial to ease community concerns. One thing is clear: Battlefield 6 will function as a live service, continually refreshed with new maps, modes, and content following its release. You can see which maps will be available at launch in the overview linked above.
