Fans of cyberpunk now have a fresh reason to explore the complimentary tactical shooter Arena Breakout: Infinite.
CD Projekt Red unveiled the significant update 2.3 for Cyberpunk 2077 on July 17, 2025. Just a few days afterward, some enthusiasts already have another exciting development to anticipate with an announcement regarding the sci-fi role-playing game. In collaboration with developer MoreFun Games, the publisher shared via X a crossover between Cyberpunk and Arena Breakout: Infinite.
What it entails: The only confirmed detail so far is that Cyberpunk will be incorporated into the free tactical extraction shooter Arena Breakout: Infinite. The specifics of this inclusion remain unclear. The brief teaser trailer implies that players will at the very least be able to don V’s signature samurai jacket.
When does the crossover commence? Precise details regarding the launch and the criteria for activation are not yet disclosed at this time.
You can catch an initial look at the collaboration in the 19-second teaser trailer:
Not the initial crossover: Cyberpunk 2077 has previously been featured in multiple other games. These include the poker roguelite Balatro, the car ball game Rocket League, and the enduringly popular Fortnite.
What type of game is Arena Breakout: Infinite?
In this tactical extraction shooter, you scavenge the deserted area of Kamona and then attempt to escape intact – if you fail, all items you’ve gathered are forfeited. You compete against other players who share the same objective.
The game emphasizes realistic gameplay and a rich atmosphere while aiming to be slightly more accessible for newcomers compared to its genre rival Escape from Tarkov. There are various types of gear, over 20 weapon slots, and more than 900 weapon modifications, allowing you to customize your loadout according to your preferred play style. With Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.3, players gain not only new vehicles but also entirely new means to traverse Night City. There are also extra features for the photo mode. Additional details can be found in the link box above. There you’ll also discover an analysis by our shooting expert and newsroom manager Phil, who suspects that a pay-to-win mechanism might be involved in Arena Breakout.
