Have you always dreamed of navigating Night City with ease? Then the newest patch presents a fantastic chance.
And just like that, it’s here: Cyberpunk 2077 astonishes countless fans with the rapid launch of Update 2.3 on July 17, 2025. However, the actual content takes its time, as the new features focus on deceleration.
For the first time, you’ll be free from the stress of congested traffic while journeying through Night City and can instead unwind and enjoy the sights in between tasks!
Not available for everyone at once
The patch will be initially accessible solely for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series consoles. Support for Switch 2 will come later. LastGen consoles will not get version 2.3.
Update 2.3 – Let someone else take the wheel
The new patch brings two innovative modes of transport in Night City:
- AutoDrive: If Plötze can chauffeur in The Witcher 3, then cars in 2077 should too. That’s why every vehicle is being updated with a feature that permits automatic driving to your selected destination or mission highlighted on the map.
- Delamain taxi service: You can now summon a taxi anytime through the vehicle menu and let it take you around for a few Eddies.
Just enjoy the ride: If you haven’t picked a destination using the AutoDrive function, you’ll be driven through Night City, allowing you to explore the city from a fresh perspective.
Savor the scenery, tune into the radio, or snap some screenshots, as you can choose from various additional camera angles while driving automatically.
However, the update for the Switch version will arrive later.
On the topic of screenshots – new functionalities for photo mode
For all you budding photographers, some exciting new features have been added to photo mode:
- 27 new NPCs that can be spawned in photo mode
- Alternative outfits available for NPCs
- Access to your customized outfits from your wardrobe
- Ability to adjust weather and time of day

New vehicles
If you prefer to hit the gas yourself, there are three new cars and an additional motorcycle in the game. These can be unlocked through new side missions.
Update 2.3 encompasses numerous enhancements and bug resolutions for quests and graphical issues. PC gamers can also anticipate support for AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution 4, AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution Frame Generation 3.1, and Intel XeSS 2.0.
