July Unveils Classics, Chaos, and an Entirely New Vibe
PlayStation Plus launches the summer with an update that impresses with its range. Alongside new games for strategy and construction fans, two chaotic PS1 cult classics make a comeback with Twisted Metal 3 and 4. Featuring handy options like the rewind feature and visual filters that propel the nostalgic experience into the year 2025. The updated versions will be ready for download starting July 15.
Additionally available this July: The surreal survival title Abiotic Factor, the delightful children’s adventure Bluey: The Videogame, as well as the island construction simulator Tropico 6, the zoo management simulator Planet Zoo, the roguelike Risk of Rain 2 and the fresh MMO New World: Aeternum, which is already being provided to PS Plus subscribers with its console debut in October. The library is expanding significantly – and so is the variety.
However, the true highlight of the month has been in the limelight since July 9: Cyberpunk 2077, now accessible for PS Plus members at no additional charge. And with a complimentary 30% discount on the renowned expansion Phantom Liberty, it’s now especially appealing in terms of cost.
Cyberpunk 2077 on PS Plus – Superior to Ever Before
The sci-fi RPG titan from CD Projekt Red has finally found its stride after four years. What was once deemed a technical disaster in 2020 has transformed into one of the most robust open-world experiences in recent years, thanks to countless patches, system upgrades, and the DLC expansion Phantom Liberty. Those who revisit Night City now will encounter a dynamic, stable, and narratively engaging game universe – featuring Keanu Reeves and Idris Elba as virtual companions.
The second season of the Netflix series Cyberpunk: Edgerunners has received official confirmation. Once again produced by Studio Trigger, this new season will present a thoroughly independent narrative. Darker, more intense, and unconcerned with happy endings. Thus, the franchise continues to evolve – with a game, series, and even a planned sequel (Project Orion), which is currently under development at CD Projekt.
