This Week in PC Games: Change into a Magic Girl in Kernel Hearts, a Canine Commando in Fright Train, or a Capital Class War Vessel in Sublight

During the weekend, I stepped away from my regular gaming habits and volunteered at a nearby orchard to harvest apples. The experience was invigorating and filled with the enjoyable task of collecting different apple types. Each apple variety had its distinct appeal: the speckled golden sours were ideal for immediate eating, the cheerful green cookers displayed their flaws with pride, and the sharp little reds provided crisp, clear slices. The orchard buzzed with energy as we navigated with poles and hard hats, occasionally squashing fallen apples beneath our feet, releasing a sweet yet tangy scent into the atmosphere.

While picking apples, I stumbled upon a captivating sight: the most alluring apple, dangling just out of reach in a shadowy corner beneath a seemingly otherworldly tree. Its leaves were encrusted with salt, and its roots looked like heavy anchors. As I reached for it, the apple seemed to pull back, shimmering with an unearthly glow. This brightness revealed the gradual appearance of enormous crystal fangs. It was Maw, the perpetually ravenous being I frequently encounter. Thankfully, I possessed a second mesh bag filled with new PC games to satisfy its hunger, allowing me to resume my tranquil apple-picking journey.
