This Week in PC Games: Gamescom, GTA 6, Rising Folk, MGS4, and a Cake-Balancing Horror Title vie for Spotlight

Greetings everyone! I must share that the Maw is particularly cheerful this week. Its scales exhibit a nearly seductive shimmer, flickering in and out of sight as I observe from my vantage point above north London. Its ruby coral spirals and mounds of verdigris fins are visible, mirrored in the far-off financial temples of Canary Wharf. The fractal arrangement of its teeth and mane creates expressive swirls and indentations among the weary late summer clouds.

The Maw is jubilant because this week marks Gamescom week – a period brimming with videogame news and therefore, a time of indulgence for extradimensional deities craving headlines. Coincidentally, it is also the week when Rockstar and Netflix will air a documentary on GTA 6 (27th August), leading to an abundance of articles such as “50 uniquely rendered breakfast cereal shapes you may have overlooked in the all-new Vice City.” As if that weren’t sufficient, an array of unusually substantial new PC releases is also on the horizon.
