Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War 4 welcomes players into the intimidating realm of the Necrons, a faction recognized for their durability and unyielding expansion. Each Necron warrior embodies a soul housed within a living metal frame, rendering them almost indestructible thanks to their sophisticated reanimation systems. This attribute makes them ideally suited for prolonged conflicts, as they persistently grow their domain while enduring foes’ attacks.
Nevertheless, the game’s lead designer, Elliott Verbiest, points out that although players appreciate this style of play, it may result in tedious multiplayer experiences. In response, the developers at King Art Games have implemented a chink in the Necrons’ seemingly invulnerable armor: greed. This human-like urge acts as a tactical vulnerability, introducing an extra dimension to the Necrons’ gameplay mechanics.
With this addition, the developers intend to cultivate a more captivating and diverse multiplayer environment, motivating players to investigate fresh strategies and approaches when confronting or embodying the Necrons. This modification not only enriches the gameplay but also resonates with the Necrons’ background as haughty entities who perceive themselves as invincible, ultimately leading to their downfall due to their own arrogance.
