Wizards of the Coast President Resigns After Two Years in Position

Wizards of the Coast’s President John Hight is resigning from his position, according to a filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission dated July 27th. Hight, who began his presidency in August 2024, will move to an advisory role within the company effective September 1st. This change occurs two years after he took on the role and is in the wake of a notable financial update for Wizards of the Coast’s parent company, Hasbro, which recently announced a $56 million impairment charge. Although he is stepping down as president, Hight will still be involved with the company in his new advisory role.
