The Guild: Europa 1410 is a reinvention of 4HEAD’s iconic strategy title, Europa 1400: The Guild, which was first launched in 2002. This updated version is developed by the studio celebrated for the acclaimed World War simulation game, Last Train Home. It welcomes players into a medieval realm, beginning with a demo located in Kuttenberg, a city in the Czech Republic that became well-known through the game Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.
In this demo, players get a taste of medieval existence with wheel-churned pathways, homes constructed from wattle and daub, and scenery sprinkled with vegetable patches, windmills, and forges. The world is filled with numerous ‘living, breathing’ characters garbed in authentic period clothing, all set against a backdrop of a dynamic day-night cycle and shifting weather patterns. Observed from above, the setting is richly intricate, although players can utilize a highlighting feature to reduce the visual intricacy.
The game delivers an engrossing experience that merges historical accuracy with strategic gameplay, echoing a board game ambience within the Kingdom Come universe.
