I genuinely believed I would finish the decorating this week, but it persists. I’ve at least managed to reattach all the cabinets to the walls, painted and assembled the larder unit, and restored easy access to the fridge. I hope to avoid cheese sandwiches for a bit. I’m in the final phase. I need to touch up all the paint where I’ve left fingerprints and scratches, attach all the door knobs, and then clear away any paint remnants from the floor and countertops.
I’m so close to having a kitchen where I can cook again. I can nearly taste it.
