Ubisoft’s internal reshuffling is causing a stir as Clint Hocking, the creative mastermind behind several of the firm’s notable titles, has apparently left the organization. Renowned for his contributions to “Far Cry 2,” “Watch Dogs Legion,” and “Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory,” Hocking was also leading the development of the forthcoming “Assassin’s Creed Codename Hexe.” This information stems from a report by Very Gary Computing, which reveals that Hocking’s exit was relayed to Ubisoft employees this week by the newly appointed leadership team of the Assassin’s Creed series.
Jean Guesdon, who has recently taken on the role of head of content for the brand, will now step in as the creative director for “Hexe.” This transition is part of a larger overhaul within the Assassin’s Creed franchise, as Ubisoft aims to navigate a new direction for its flagship series. Hocking’s departure signifies yet another development in Ubisoft’s continuous executive realignment, as the company persists in adapting to the changing landscape of the gaming industry.
