The Scuffed World Tour might not be the finale we expected, but this was still a fun tournament that wrapped up 2022 in Smash. We still got to have something of a climax for Super Smash Bros Melee and Ultimate. Both sets of Scuffed World Tour results were shocking.

Sparg0 might have pushed himself up to being the best Smash Ultimate player, adding even more onto his impressive rise this year. aMSa’s win was equally impressive, capping off a huge year for the player.

Scuffed World Tour Results – Ultimate

For Ultimate, MKLeo looked like the player to beat heading into the tournament after his dominance at the recent tournaments. He hasn’t left with the number 1 spot though, instead it’s Sparg0 that’s taken home the big win for Smash Ultimate in 2022.

Sparg0 had to step away from a few months after winning a lot of early tournaments in 2022. He’s made a return just for the Scuffed World Tour, for the final tournament of the year.

MKLeo on the other hand had a bit of a different performance. After heading in as the biggest player of the year and probably the best Ultimate player as a whole, he had an off week in the Scuffed World Tour results. He was knocked out in fifth place after his match up with Tweek.

Interestingly, both Sparg0 and Tweek were not even slated to play in the Championship, if everything went “according to plan”.

aMSa wins melee with another Yoshi major win

Over in the Melee side of the game, things looked a bit more open with Zain not being able to attend. It’s aSMa who is maybe the big winner for the entire Scuffed World Tour results though. Kind of like Sparg0, aMSa’s rise in 2022 has been a dramatic thing to watch. The Japanese player took the first major win with Yoshi just this year, and now he’s added a second.

Beyond just a Major win, aMSa has arguably won the finale of the year’s Smash events, taking out the other players who topped out the Smash World Tour. He’s had an amazing performance and rise this year.

aMSa showed why he’s one of the top players in Smash Bros at the Scuffed World Tour. He beat JMook, Leffen, Mang0, and Hungrybox at the event, showing that he was definitely the best in the event. The finale was a fun match, with Hungrybox forcing a bracket reset before aMSa eventually won the major.

Scuffed World Tour Results

The Scuffed World Tour had surprising results for both Melee and Ultimate. aSMa and Sparg0 both have had interesting runs throughout 2022 and claiming the top spot at the end of the year really completes this. The tournament had some other good results though, including in raising money for VGBoot Camp.

The organizer of the Smash World Tour was the benefactor of this event. The Scuffed World Tour managed to raise $26,000 for the organizer. This should help the organizer get back on their feet after all the problems in the last month.
