The latest patch provides exciting enhancements to the game: Update 1.0.7 is now live and introduces various upgrades. The PS5 version is approximately 9 GB, while the file size is considerably larger on PC and Xbox. Ubisoft is addressing numerous community requests. Besides fixing many bugs, the developers have greatly enriched the gaming experience.
New skills, expanded options: The New Game+ mode now permits you to replay Shadow – retaining all progress, including gear, allies, and your hideout. Players can embark on up to eight rounds, with each Nordic run presenting fresh challenges and tougher foes. This ushers the game into a new loop phase.
Beyond mere figures: The cap on levels has been raised from 60 to 80, knowledge tiers have been enhanced to levels 9 & 10, and Blacksmith Upgrade Level 4 has been unlocked. Additionally, there are three new trophies for reaching Level 80, Knowledge Rank 10, and the golden katanas, which are exclusively obtainable in NG+.
Key focus now – feature highlights and future plans
Two weapons particularly shine: the golden long katana Whisper of Gold and the classic gold-plated katana Dragon’s Gold – solely available as a final reward in New Game+ mode. These unique weapons boast special perks and symbolize prestige, surpassing regular variants.
Balance and gameplay have also improved: merchant prices are lowered, you gain more resources when dismantling, companions adjust to the player’s level, and Ronin enemies now feature four health segments instead of three. These updates enhance the challenge while ensuring fairness in the game.
Looking ahead, Ubisoft is preparing additional updates: The next set will launch in September with quality-of-life enhancements, like in-game time adjustments, an upgraded map, and unlocked frame rates on PC – and on September 16, the first major expansion, Claws of Awaji, will debut, featuring approximately ten hours of storyline, a new area, and new gear. Those who pre-ordered will receive this DLC at no cost.
