Intel Introduces Four New Graphics Cards

Intel has discreetly broadened its graphics card lineup by incorporating four new device IDs into the Mesa driver for Linux, signaling forthcoming releases. These IDs, tagged with the “BMG” prefix for Battlemage, imply the arrival of the Arc B750 and B770 models, projected to debut later this year.

The exclusion of the G21 chip from the new entries, which powered the Arc B570 and B580, points towards a transition to the more robust BMG-G31 chip. This chip is believed to drive the Arc B770, expected to serve as the flagship model, along with the Arc B750, which was earlier assumed to be discarded.

The updates to the Mesa driver hold significance as they usually foreshadow hardware launches, supplying essential software support. The upcoming graphics cards are anticipated to boast improved processing abilities, with the Arc B770 possibly featuring up to 32 Xe2 cores, 16 GB of GDDR6 memory, and a 256-bit memory bus, culminating in a memory bandwidth of 608 GB/s. Both models are likely to incorporate a PCIe 5.0 interface and are forecasted to release in Q4 2025.

The Battlemage lineup is taking shape to encompass:

– Arc B570: BMG-G21 chip, 16 Xe2 cores, 10 GB GDDR6, 150 watts TDP.
– Arc B580: BMG-G21 chip, 20 Xe2 cores, 12 GB GDDR6, 190 watts TDP.
– Arc B750: BMG-G31 chip, 24 Xe2 cores, 12 GB GDDR6, 220 watts TDP.
– Arc B770: BMG-G31 chip, 32 Xe2 cores, 16 GB GDDR6, 250 watts TDP.

Moreover, Pro variants tailored for the professional sector are expected, with some models featuring up to 24 GB VRAM to meet AI and workstation requirements. Intel’s recent reveal of the Arc Pro B50 and B60 at Computex 2025, also leveraging the Battlemage architecture, supports this expansion strategy.
