After a dispute between Epic and Apple, it seems like Fortnite is returning to mobile.

Fortnite is one of the biggest games in the world, a colorful battle royale full of pop culture crossovers and TikTok dances. The new game modes have also been a massive hit and now Fortnite is looking to continue growing in 2024. How? Returning to all mobile devices.

Fortnite has not been available on iOS systems since 2020 but that may change soon.

Fortnite coming back to iOS sort of

Epic announced today that a law in the EU has made it possible to bring Fortnite back to iPhones and iPads.

Earlier this year, Epic excitedly updated fans that the game was returning to iOS devices across Europe later this year — and it looks like the time has come and the news is confirmed.

Unfortunately, Fortnite is only coming back to mobile devices in Europe. That means the United States and all other countries around the world still cannot play Fortnite on their iPhones or iPads.

There is currently no news regarding if and when Fortnite is returning to mobile devices in any other country. But it’s looking more promising than ever before.

Epic vs. Apple continues in the US

Fortnite was removed from the iOS app store all over the world after Epic Games started a dispute with Apple in August of 2020. This was due to Apple charging players extra for every in-game purchase. This has been happening for many apps but Epic is the only one to start a lawsuit or two against Apple for it.

This is the first update we’ve seen since Fortnite was removed back in 2020.
