YouTube celebrity James “MrBeast” Donaldson has been sharing old YouTube videos on X. If you’re one of the fans wondering why you’ve been seeing them, the answer is simple: Money. Now, MrBeast has revealed just how much he’s made from sharing these videos on X.

Twitter has gone through a lot of changes since Elon Musk took over — and most of them have been met with backlash. From changing its name to X to limiting how many tweets free users can see per day, it has become a bit of a controversial social media platform that has left many questioning how long it’ll be around.

But some, like MrBeast, are attempting to take advantage of the new features.

How is MrBeast making money on X?

Elon Musk added a new ad revenue system to X. To test it out, MrBeast started sharing his old YouTube videos on the platform in an attempt to see what he’d earn. Now, he’s sharing the results.

According to MrBeast, the videos have reached more than 100 million views each. The most popular was “$1 Car vs. $100,000,000 Car,” which reached over 177 million views alone. So what does this equal?

MrBeast claimed he made “around a million” in ad revenue so far.

MrBeast fans were not too upset at the icon making even more money on top of his already incredible income. That’s because MrBeast is known for giving back to fans and pursuing massive philanthropic endeavors with his earnings.

Said MrBeast: “I’m just adding it to my video budgets so now I can spend more on content.”

With another million ready for his over-the-top videos, fans expressed excitement at what’s to come. Many said they were excited to see what would come out of this new chunk of change.

Will MrBeast move to Twitter?

After making such easy money on old videos, some fans wondered if MrBeast would leave YouTube to post videos to X.

Even MrBeast joked about the idea, tweeting: “I’m quitting YouTube.” He then added that he was posting to X full time.

Fans assumed it was a joke, but Elon Musk replied that he “should” make the change. MrBeast has not made any serious statements regarding a move to X ever since the initial tweet.
