The ambitious fan mod is getting a prominent addition. None other than Astarion voice actor Neil Newbon joins the cast

Just a few more sleeps and Fallout fans can finally shine again – with joy, that is. Because after a long wait, the huge fan mod Fallout: London will be released on April 23, 2024, almost exactly two months from now.

But even this close to release, there is still news and announcements from the development team, who are already planning their very own game for the time after Fallout: London because the final progress video shows the game’s development. Because in the final progress video for 2024, they reveal another narrator that fans of Baldur’s Gate 3 in particular will know only too well.

Astarion, is that you?

We’re talking about Neil Newbon, who lent his voice to the High Elf Astarion in Larian’s role-playing epic. You can find the official announcement in the aforementioned video from minute 06:20:

However, it is not yet known what role Neil Newbon plays in Fallout: London. Currently there is only a picture of his impersonated NPC that we have clipped from the video – here, see for yourself, pretty meaningless, don’t you think?

(Astarion 2.0 has got the menacing look down pat so as not to be stupidly accosted from the side in the post-apocalypse.)

If we had to speculate, we would be tempted to assume that Newbon is playing a rather shady character, given the gloomy expression on his face in the right half of the picture. In the end, however, the NPC could be the exact opposite, so wait and see and have a cup of Earl Grey!

On X (formerly Twitter), Neil Newbon has already expressed his delight at being able to participate in Fallout: London:

Newbon is now a true video game dubbing veteran. His Vita includes titles such as Detroit: Become Human (Elijah Kamski/Gavin Reed), Resident Evil Village (Karl Heisenberg), Xenoblade Chronicles 3 (Xeon) and Deliver Us Mars (Isaac). But of course his appearance as Astarion in BG3 outshines everything
