Its scales exhibit a nearly seductive shimmer, flickering in and out of sight as I observe from my vantage point above north London. Its ruby coral spirals and mounds of verdigris fins are visible, mirrored in the far-off financial temples of Canary Wharf. The fractal arrangement of its teeth and mane creates expressive swirls and indentations among the weary late summer clouds.<\/p>\n
The Maw is jubilant because this week marks Gamescom week – a period brimming with videogame news and therefore, a time of indulgence for extradimensional deities craving headlines. Coincidentally, it is also the week when Rockstar and Netflix will air a documentary on GTA 6 (27th August), leading to an abundance of articles such as “50 uniquely rendered breakfast cereal shapes you may have overlooked in the all-new Vice City.” As if that weren’t sufficient, an array of unusually substantial new PC releases is also on the horizon.
