Gen.G and Manchester City will create memorable engagement opportunities for fans

The two organizations will be working together to create unique experiences and engagement opportunities for their fans with events hosted in both South Korea and the UK. In addition, Manchester City and Gen.G will look to create co-branded merchandise, launching limited-edition products for their supporters.

This announcement comes shortly after Manchester City’s recent announcement to visit the South Korean capital, Seoul, for its pre-season preparations for the upcoming season. According to a release, the collaboration presents a great opportunity for both organizations to improve their overall presence in the Asian country.

Manchester City recently won the Champions League, beating Italian football club Internazionale Milano in the finals. Similarly, Gen.G are the latest LCK Champions, having beaten T1 in the Spring Split finals.

Arnold Hur, CEO of Gen.G Esports, commented on the partnership: “We’ve been on a search to learn from the sports world’s best about what it takes to maintain a championship mindset even under the brightest lights of competition, and we are excited to work with the newly crowned champions, Manchester City under the banner of GEN CITY. We are incredibly excited about this partnership both for our competitive pro and educational academy teams and hope to build upon this collaboration into the future.”

In recent years, Manchester City has been developing its own esports division with a strong presence in popular game titles like EA Sports FIFA and Fortnite. Thanks to the new partnership with Gen.G, it will be the perfect opportunity for both teams to celebrate their recent success.
