The first Tekken game definitely has a key spot in a lot of fans’ hearts. Being the title that started it all, it’s one of the most impactful Tekken games. The most recent also had a high level of polish which has really elevated the series, including with the Tekken 7 story mode. Being the only mainline game in over 15 years definitely makes that one stand out. The games in between have some high points too, like Tekken 4.
The upcoming title in the series also looks set to be pretty exciting. Tekken 8 is definitely one of the better titles on the horizon for the genre right now. If it can follow up on its early promise, then Tekken 8 might be one of the best Tekken games.
