Recent leaks are pointing towards a new Fortnite game mode that’s been sorely lacking in recent seasons. We might be halfway through the Fortnite X Star Wars event, but leaks are already pointing at the next big update. This is going to be Fortnite car racing! The latest Fortnite news is that data miners have found an expansive racing mode that might be coming to the game very soon.

Fortnite Car Racing Mode Leaks

A prominent data miner has found that car racing might be the next substantial update. This isn’t the first racing mode we’ve had, but the links point towards the mode being by far the biggest racing mode in Fortnite we’ve seen to date!

The new Fortnite car racing game mode would allow players to race the various vehicles that we’ve had in the game. It wouldn’t be a simple mode where you just aimlessly race as you’d find in the Fortnite creative mode.

Instead, this would be a full-on game mode. The leaks so far indicate we’ll be getting Fortnite ranks just for the car racing! The leaderboard may be separated into 18 different divisions. There will be a casual game mode and a competitive one to rise up the leaderboards.

The leaks are suggesting this game mode would be added to Fortnite as an entirely new branch. It would have its own game mode and playlists entirely, another addition alongside Battle Royale and Creative.

The new Fortnite car racing game mode might have some customization too. It seems a Garage tab will be a part of the menu along with the new Fortnite game mode. This will allow players to customize their cars, and build something to race in. That’s along with showing off your skill on the leaderboard if you’re one of the best Fortnite players at racing.
