Ubisoft Forward 2022 featured a host of announcements but the biggest takeaway from the stream was information about Assassin’s Creed. The massive franchise is getting even bigger with new titles on the way.

Earlier this month, Ubisoft revealed Assassin’s Creed Mirage, the next game of the franchise which will be set in Baghdad. “Assassin’s Creed Mirage, which takes place in 9th century Baghdad. The story centers on Basim Ibn Is’haq, a character first introduced in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, when he was a young man first learning the ways of the Hidden Ones. Mirage is built as an homage to the early Assassin’s Creed titles,” Ubisoft said at the Forward 2022 event.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage is scheduled to release in 2023.

The publisher also revealed two new titles codenamed HEXE and RED. Assassin’s Creed RED will be an open-world RPG set in feudal Japan. We don’t have information related to HEXE but the trailer shows a creepy setting with rotting trees and a wooden Assassin’s Creed insignia.

Moreover, Ubisoft has an AAA RPG action-adventure mobile game set in ancient China under work. It’ll feature the iconic Assassin’s Creed gameplay but optimized for an experience on touch controls. They also added that they’re partnering with Netflix to create a live-action adaptation of Assassin’s Creed, and are developing a mobile game exclusively for Netflix members.

Finally, they’re ending Valhalla and Eivor’s journey with a final piece of content. The Last Chapter is a free questline for Valhalla that is coming out in the next few months. Ubisoft says The Last Chapter will “tie up some of the storylines established throughout the game” and even include some surprising historical figures.”
