Ranks: What are the divisions?

In Ranked there are two ways to move up: Your respective Skill Division indicates how well you play. If you are stronger than other players, you will move up, but you can also move down again. Ranks On the other hand, offer linear progression: the more victories you have accumulated, the higher your rank.

Ranks

(Your rank symbol appears in the respective colour of your skill division.)

Ranks primarily indicate how often you play Ranked Matches and are available regardless of your Skill Division. You unlock the next of 50 ranks by winning a certain number of matches. Every 5 ranks you will unlock a new icon that shows your progress. Your rank will not be reset at the end of the season, unlike your division.

Skill Divisions

(Depending on how good you are, you will be assigned to one of eight divisions.)
(Depending on how good you are, you will be assigned to one of eight divisions.)

At the beginning of Season 2, all players will start in the lowest division, Bronze. From there, you can work your way up to the top 250. There, you will even be displayed in a public ranking list.

At the start of the next season, your achieved division will be partially reset: If you have reached a division from bronze to purple, you will start one division lower. If you are one of the best players in Iridescent and Top 250, you will start in Platinum. Here is an overview of all divisions:

  • Bronze: 0-899 SR
  • Silver: 900-2,099 SR
  • Gold: 2,100-3,599 SR
  • Platinum: 3,600-5,399 SR
  • Diamond: 5,400-7,499 SR
  • Purple: 7,500-9,999 SR
  • Edazzling: 10,000 SR minimum
  • Top 250: 10,000+ SR (see below)

What is SR? You increase your skill rating (SR) by winning ranked matches. Your personal performance determines the amount of points you get for a win and lose. Once you reach a certain skill rating, you will be promoted or demoted.

Advancement: How do I reach a higher division?

In order to advance to the next division, you must first and foremost win more ranked matches than you lose. For every win you get points for your skill rating, but if you lose you get points deducted from your skill rating again.

Your personal performance and that of the team will also be taken into account: If you have only just lost, you will only lose a few points. If, on the other hand, you win and have played particularly well, you will receive more points than for an average match.

(Team play is essential in Ranked Matches and should be rewarded.)

The divisions from Bronze to Purple are each divided into three levels, so you start in Bronze 1, then reach Bronze 2, 3 and finally Silver if your skill rating is high enough.

What if a teammate leaves the match? If you have to fight outnumbered, you won”t lose any points if you lose, but you can still earn them if you win. Those who frequently leave a ranked match, behave inappropriately, or otherwise harm their teammates will also face penalties.

Rewards: What can I earn?
