Looks like today is a great day for Helldivers 2 enthusiasts: alongside the buff-laden Into the Unjust 5.0.0 patch that was released earlier, the developers at Arrowhead have provided an update on their initiatives to significantly reduce the co-op shooter’s enormous install size. And it’s not merely a trim; it’s a fully powered chainsaw operation, safety vests disregarded. As detailed in the Steam post, there is now a beta build available for testing, which slashes the 154GB game down to just 23GB – an incredible 131GB (!!!) decrease. It’s akin to surgically excising an entire Black Myth: Wukong that was protruding from its back.
