Post-apocalyptic survival shooter Misery has made its comeback on Steam following a brief withdrawal due to a supposed DMCA takedown initiated by GSC Game World, the developers behind the Stalker series. The creators, Platypus Entertainment, have clarified that the situation was a “misunderstanding” that has now been addressed. As part of the agreement, Platypus Entertainment consented to eliminate specific components from their game, such as a helicopter model, several guitar tracks, and mentions of GSC’s titles, as per the request of the Stalker studio. This progress enables Misery to be accessible once more on Steam, delighting its fanbase.
