We already know that Bioware is working on a new Mass Effect game. During 2020’s Game Awards, they released an official teaser trailer showcasing the game and its iconic character- Liara, but that was about it. Although Bioware still hasn’t revealed official details of the game, they have announced the onboarding of writer Mary DeMarle (she worked on Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy and Deus Ex) to the Mass Effect team as a Senior Narrative Director.

She made the announcement on her LinkedIn, but it was Michael Gamble, Project Director at Bioware who confirmed on Twitter that she’d be working with the Mass Effect team.

Mary DeMarle is a sci-fi genre and her experience will surely help Bioware create a world that’ll one-up all previous Mass Effect titles. Her work in Guardians of the Galaxy was recognized with the Best Narrative award at the 2021 Game Awards.
